Can we slow down? Hell NOOOOOO
Sooooo I’ve been doing some behind the scenes networking and learning…. learning how to business a cleaning business properly… the do’s and the donts by those who have already tried and tested the water.
And I have a plan…. ohhhhhh I have a plan, a business plan, a method, how to build my business, how to manage my business EFFECTIVELY BUT
A BIIIIIIGGGGGG BUT
I keep getting a spanner in the works… and it’s by no means a bad thing.
You see I have this plan, how to recruit more team members, how to build more business.
Just TEAM CRYSTAL CLEAN seem to be just just fine without putting the plan into place and this is all from WORD OF MOUTH.
What I would personally say is the best form of building your business.
I have new teamies FROM WORD OF MOUTH
and always having new business FROM WORD OF MOUTH
IT’S ALL GOOD! We are such a good team we have friends of friends who have heard how good we are wanting to join and we please our clients to such a degree that they don’t only sell our expertise to their friends and family looking for a cleaner…. they MAKE THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY WANT A CLEANER… but not just any cleaner… US - CRYSTAL CLEAN…
So yes I am not just blowing our own trumpet here… It seems all of this work I’m doing behind the scenes will come to use one day but in the meantime our business is growing regardless.
WOW… what a ride
Wow! The last two weeks have been INSANE for Crystal Clean!!! 😵💫😵💫😵💫
After a partial downsize of our workload over the two week Xmas period, we hit the ground running on Monday 6th January... while catching up with existing clients, we took on plenty new and alongside that, we also had to take on more pairs of hands!.... WOW and I literally feel as though it's our sheer velocity in expanding that's whipped up this storm the UK is suffering right now. 🙈🤣🤣
For the first time EVER we welcomed new clients at the same time as new team members and got better results than ever! This is all down to the solid foundations of the business, training, procedures and well what can I say?!?!?! Taking the best team members on and having the best clients!
Proud business mummy moment here to say the least... next week I can simmer down a bit and let the cogs we've set in motion carry on and nicely turn..
Has it been stressful?!?! Tbh I've been thinking about hiding in a hole... 🤣🤣🤣
I've been meeting myself coming back but I'd say it's meant to be, it hasn't affected my eating pattern, it hasn't affected my sleep.. I couldn't continue another two weeks the same (just yet) but I'll be back for more for sure
I'M DEAD HAPPY WITH MY TEAM RIGHT NOW 💖✨️🫶
Love the relationships I have with my clients (& my teambers have with them too)
It's a very positive place to be in... I'm that happy, I'm scared of it going wrong... but I'm grateful for it all... I dont know when my next day of will be so it's a good thing I love what I do and all I can do is keep on pushing and striving to deliver excellence ♥️♥️💯
A Sunday Well Spent…
A Sunday Well Spent Brings A Week Of Content… So they say.
Here at CC HQ it was an early start on the admin. A little tweaking of the rota for next week, there’s always some last minute changes. One client changing as they’re getting their carpets cleaned, another having got a last minute hospital appointment. Having mainly domestic clients on our books, it’s just the way the cookie crumbles and we do like to accommodate any changes as best we can.
I am by no means complaining! This is my baby and I love working on it. I love change and I love the way this business if forever changing.
I can’t believe we’re heading into our third full week this year already! We hit the ground running on 6th January and we literally haven’t stopped since.
We have welcomed back existing clients who took a Christmas break from us, welcomed new clients to our services and welcomed new team members. So needless to say there’s been a lot of changes, a lot of getting to know new spaces, new routines, new faces and doing what we love the most…. GROWING & SUCCEEDING
With the admin out of the way, it’s time to focus on self and family. We had our house cleaned by the team on Friday so cleaning at home hasn't been an issue this weekend but I do like to get everything boxed off ready to start a fresh week. So we still have chores to do… There’s laundry… This week Sunday is our laundry day… (That’s my sector)… Hubby does not get involved haha
So we have the tumble drier rocking round, bedding swishing in the washing machine, whites waiting to load, piles of clothes to be put away, breakfast cooking away, a movie on the TV…. and you know what, if this doesn’t make you feel content, what does?
Yesterday we had a new sofa delivered and my days, it’s a game changer… I’d say it’s the little things but a new sofa is a pretty BIG THING and boy did good choosing it (hubby chose it… shopping tends to be his department)
With the new sofa taking center stage in the living room, we now need new accessories to adorn it…. so a shopping trip to The Range or Dunelm (maybe both) will be on the cards this afternoon….
Along with a nice roast dinner… YUM YUM
So our contented Sunday consists of getting the whole house ship shape and in order, making a few home improvements and spending time together resting and eating well.
Oh and more laundry later when one of my team members brings back the laundry from two holiday lets we’re servicing…. good thing I love doing laundry!!
But yes all in all a very chilled contented Sunday….
Ready for the new week ahead…. How are you spending your Sunday?
The Calm Before The Storm
Savouring the moment for peace and clarity…
It takes a lot to beat the feeling of when that first cuppa of the day hits and you've got complete clarity of mind after a good night's sleep and the house is as quiet as it can possibly be with everybody else sleeping...
This is the calm before the storm... even those of us that have worked through Christmas have felt in holiday mode for the past two weeks...
Now the end is in sight.... Here at CC we have a steady weekend....
Sarah is out later today tending to a couple of weekly regulars carried over from yesterday... Our doing as there was lack of childcare yesterday so our lovely flexible clients moved to today for us 🫶
And Carly & Rachel have a Pre-move In Clean this morning... Going in totally blind as the client isn't even getting to the property until this morning but they've been and viewed the property from the outside and will go and prep the property this morning for the furniture being delivered this afternoon... after all, it is what they do! They're professionals and will get the job done to a high standard as quickly as possible and then.....
They're onto a holiday let.
Sunday will be the complete day of rest... the recharge and reset before the kids are back to school and we're back to working to full capacity again!
We have new team members in the pipeline and lots of new clients to welcome and Carly & Jess need to get on with the commercial sales.
Busy busy busy but for now..... savouring the moment 🙏💖✨️
New Year, New Me
A fresh start is a mindset….
Some people are all for that ‘New Year, New Me’… Not me.
That doesn’t, however, stop me from feeling the sense of urgency to pull my life together as we enter another year. (I know it’s not just me that all of a sudden wants to buy every planner and self-help book on the shelves in the supermarket).
Wanting to change is a good thing. Even if you’re happy, why would you want to repeat the exact same thing over and over? There is never really anything I want to quit, but build… there is always plenty I want to build on. Always something I want to add or bring into my life.
This year I am focused to build this business of mine bigger and better. It’s a matter of having to now. It’s grown that much that I need to take the bull by the horns and drive. It was either that or drop some clients and team members off and go around the same hamster wheel repeating the previous year.
I can’t say as this decision is made because of the New Year… (New Year, New Me Blah Blah Blah)…. My change started to happen last year. I made the decision last November to go limited and with that I had to start and have a completely different mindset. I was no longer working to make ends meet and pay for a few nice things and a couple of holidays a year.
Yes, I’d been ‘building a business’ since I first starting solo cleaning almost 3 years ago but I never had a plan or a vision. Yes, my business soon took off and is that luck? I used to think so…. Yes, I was hardworking, driven, set my standards high and was reliable to the point of working myself to the ground behind the scenes… but not having a plan could only make me think I was just lucky. You know what happens to lucky…. LUCK RUNS OUT so it was time to be more than lucky and take control.
Turning the point of creating a limited company has now made me need a plan. My positive manifesting mindset works wonders daily, getting me and my team from week to week but I need to make sure this is it. I need a plan, I need a vision, a clear vision.
Month 1… NOV ‘24… Saw my first successful month in REAL business. It was rocky, changing procedures but the rockiness was forming the building blocks for a better future.
Month 2… DEC ‘24…. We smashed it. With the new plans in place, me now having help with admin. Myself being more focused and my team having less to worry about, our takings almost doubled in one month!
Month 3… JAN ‘25… WATCH THIS SPACE
I’m taking the start of a fresh year to collect my focus and plan ahead. I’ve been doing some hypnotherapy sessions to build my focus and confidence. You may laugh but it’s hard growing at 43yrs old! The self-doubt creeps in no end! But self-doubt can only set you back and I don’t do anxiety very well as I don’t like to admit I’m anxious so I do the self-care approach instead and defeat it before it sets in.
So with my personal self-care and mindfulness going on behind the scenes…. here we are….
Hello January!
We are ready to get back to some routine! Seeing those clients we have missed over the Christmas break. Getting back to what we love doing the most!
Ooooh and we already have some new clients to welcome next week and some more the week after
and I have some focus on training my team some more (every day is a school day)
I have plans to target more commercial clients and basically keep giving my heart and soul to this baby of mine
I’m looking forward to next week! Looking forward to being back in the driving seat!
